1997年毕业于北京大学物理系,获理学学士学位。2004年在美国加州大学伯克利分校获得物理学博士学位。2005年到2010年在橡树岭国家实验室和范德比尔特大学担任博士后和研究助理教授,期间于2010年在加州大学伯克利分校R. Ramesh教授领导的研究小组合作访问。2011年起在斯坦福大学任研究科学家。2012年入选第三批青年千人计划,加入上海交通大学物理系。
