长期致力于低维量子体系中新颖量子现象的实验研究,在拓扑物态和电子强关联系统的实验研究中取得一系列重要成果。实现三维拓扑绝缘体、人工拓扑超导体和二维锡烯薄膜等拓扑量子体系。共发表 SCI 论文 120 余篇,包括 Science, Nature,Nature 子刊,Phys. Rev. Lett.等,总引用 10000 多次。获国家自然科学二等奖 1 次(2019 年,第二完成人)。2015 年入选教育部长江学者特聘教授, 2019 年入选中组部万人计划领军人才。
