Dr. Yuan Yao received his Bachelor of Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015 and PhD from University of Tokyo in 2020. From 2020 to 2021, he was a postdoctoral researcher in Institute for Solid State Physics. Later he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in RIKEN from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, he joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a tenure-track Associated Professor. His current interest focuses on non-perturbative methods in many-body systems and their topological structures.
Research Interests includes:
1. Non-perturbative constraints from symmetry and other microscopic data.
2. Understanding nontrivial topology of the quantum phase diagram.
Exotic quantum phase transitions.
